Well, it happened once more. I swear I left my keys inside, but now they're vanished! My mind is blank trying to figure out how this could gone wrong. Now I'm stuck waiting for someone to help me.
- Hmm, guess it's time to call the landlord.
- I really need to get inside soon.

This horrifying/awful/terrible situation/experience/nightmare started innocently/normally/casually enough. This had already turned into a horrible/awful/terrible day, and it was only getting worse. Standing there, watching my car remain stubbornly locked, I felt like screaming/crying/punching the air.
